So today NBC is reporting that the Apple UDIDs that were stolen last week did in fat not come from the FBI as the hackers had claimed. Seems they came from an app publisher in Florida. They said that after reviewing the posted UDID numbers they can confirm that these are numbers that they had been collecting from the apps that they publish. Apple asked developers last year to stop collecting UDIDs and the company in Florida, Blue Toad, did as requested and stopped collecting these identifier numbers.
Since the numbers came from one publisher they will not have all of your passwords and other information that could lead to identity fraud.
